Express Entry
A pathway to permanent residence for skilled workers.
A pathway to permanent residence for skilled workers.
Express Entry is one of Canada’s main pathways to permanent residence for skilled workers. While the process may seem straightforward, the quality of your profile and application matters.
There is more to a strong Express Entry application than completing forms. Your eligibility, work experience, education, language results and supporting documents all need to tell a clear, consistent and well-supported story.
This is where professional guidance can make a difference.
At SKO, we use our knowledge of the immigration process to help identify potential issues early, understand what needs to be demonstrated, and make sure your application is prepared with the evidence and documentation required to support your case.
Why Work With an Immigration Professional?
Because knowing the process is different from simply completing an application.
An experienced immigration professional knows what to look for, where issues can arise and what supporting evidence may be needed to demonstrate that your application meets the requirements.
With SKO, you have professional guidance to help you:
- Identify potential concerns before submitting your application
- Understand what evidence is needed to support your claims
- Avoid inconsistencies or omissions that can affect your application
- Ensure your documents and information are properly aligned
- Prepare a complete and well-supported application
- Navigate IRCC communications and requests throughout processing
Your application deserves more than completed forms. It deserves careful preparation, professional oversight and a file that is properly supported from start to finish.

Common Questions
Do I qualify for Express Entry?
Eligibility depends on your education, work experience, language results, age and other factors. A proper assessment of your profile is necessary to determine which options may be available to you.
What is the Express Entry process?
The process generally involves assessing your profile, preparing your Express Entry profile, entering the pool and, if invited, preparing and submitting your permanent residence application. The specific steps can vary depending on your situation.
How long does Express Entry take?
There is no single timeline. The time it takes to receive an invitation can vary depending on your profile and selection rounds, while application processing times can also vary depending on IRCC processing volumes and individual circumstances.
What if Express Entry is not the right pathway for me?
Express Entry is only one of many Canadian immigration pathways. If another option is more appropriate for your situation, SKO can help you understand the alternatives available to you.
How much does Express Entry representation cost?
Professional fees depend on the complexity of your profile and family situation. A consultation is recommended before retaining SKO so your situation can be properly assessed and the appropriate services and fees can be discussed.
When you retain SKO for representation, your consultation fee is credited toward your professional fees.
For Express Entry representation, professional fees are generally paid in two installments: the first when your Express Entry profile is being prepared and submitted to the pool, and the second after you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), before the permanent residence application is submitted.
Government processing fees are separate and are paid directly to IRCC.
Can SKO represent me throughout the process?
Yes. When retained for representation, SKO can assist with the preparation and submission of your application, monitor communications from IRCC and provide professional representation throughout processing.
